The new version of "Strul" ranks second among the world's most watched non-English language films on the global streaming service.

Only the Spanish thriller "Hole 2" has been seen by more people on Netflix last week.

Filip Berg and Amy Deasismont play the lead roles in the action comedy about a man who is wrongly convicted of murder and then, with the help of a tunnel in the prison, escapes to try to prove his innocence. The film will not be released in theaters and premiered on Netflix on October 3.

In the original from 1988, the lead roles were played by Björn Skifs and Gunnel Fred. Skifs appears in a small role in the new film.
