The Chinese venture capital company IDG Capital becomes the new majority owner of the licorice manufacturer Lakrids by Bülow, writes Danish media and DI.
IDG Capital buys from Swedish Valedo which already in January started looking for a buyer.
The Chinese investment is made in partnership with Lakrids by Bülow's management with the purpose of "further supporting the company's continued international expansion in Europe, Asia and the USA", it says in a press release.
Valedo Partners Fund II AB invested in Lakrids by Bülow in 2016 and is then said to have paid approximately 472 million Danish kronor, today equivalent to 725 million Swedish kronor, for 75 percent of the shares.
There is no information about the value of today's deal.
