The TV doctor and diet guru Michael Mosley died of natural causes. That's what police spokesperson Konstantia Dimoglidou tells BBC after a preliminary autopsy has been performed.
Mosley went missing during a walk in an inaccessible area on the Greek island of Symi at around 13:30 on Wednesday and was found dead on Sunday. Greek authorities searched for him in the high heat that prevailed.
Mosley was found 20 metres above Agia Marina beach. According to the island's mayor, Eleftherios Papakaloudoukas, who participated in the search, the body seemed to have fallen down a cliff and landed against a fence, but Mosley's body had no injuries that could have caused his death, according to the police spokesperson.
A police officer tells BBC that Mosley had been dead "for several days" when his body was finally found.
Mosley is believed to have died at around 16:00 on Wednesday, the same day he went missing.
