One person has been taken to hospital by ambulance in connection with a drowning attempt at Lake Furen in Moheda, outside Växjö, according to the rescue service.
The rescue service arrived at the scene after an emergency call was made about a person who had gone missing during a swim, according to the rescue service's operations officer.
The emergency call was received at 16:40 and the person was pulled out of the water 15 minutes later.
The extent of the injuries is unclear.
