A man in his 20s was taken to hospital on Saturday evening after he drove his snowmobile into a barn in Hössjö outside Umeå at high speed.
The man was out driving his snowmobile on a field with a friend of the same age at around 22:30 when he suddenly hit a bump that made him hit his head on the handlebars so hard that he fainted.
He is said to have hung unconscious with his head over the handlebars and driven straight into a barn that then started burning heavily, says David Levy, officer on duty at the police.
The injured man's friend managed to pull him out of the barn, and when the rescue service arrived, both the barn and the snowmobile were on fire.
He was lucky not to be alone, his friend managed to save him in time, says David Levy.
The man was taken to hospital by ambulance with unknown injuries.
