At 15:30, train traffic could reopen on one of the tracks, with the consequence that the trains that run on the route must take turns passing in the different directions until both tracks can reopen again. The prognosis is set to 06:00 on Saturday morning, according to the Transport Administration.

There will be continued delays on the route because it will be more crowded, but it is a fairly short stretch with single track. Hopefully, it will not have a major impact since the Malmö trains are being diverted via Nyköping, says Felicia Danielsson, press communicator at the Transport Administration.

The passengers on the train that caused the downed overhead line could be evacuated during Friday afternoon, and are now on their way to their original destination.
