A woman in her 80s has died after two cars collided in the northbound lane on E4 north of Gävle, writes police on their site.
It is two cars that have collided head-on with each other, one has been on the wrong side of the road, says Niklas Hammarlund, inner commander at the rescue service, to Gefle Dagblad.
Three people were involved in the collision. How the injury situation is for the other parties involved is unclear, according to police.
The cars have been seized for technical examination. The alarm about the accident came just after 2 pm on Friday.
