At 22:00 on Tuesday, several callers reported a shooting in Upplands-Bro. At the scene, outdoors in central Bro, a gunshot wounded man was found and taken to hospital by ambulance.

A dark car was reportedly seen in connection with the shooting.

There are indications that the perpetrator jumped into a car and disappeared in that way. We are still interested in tips about that, says police spokesperson Helena Boström Thomas.

Earlier on Tuesday evening, another shooting took place, in Jordbro south of Stockholm. A man in his 30s was seriously injured and a man in his 25s was arrested during the night.

I haven't received any confirmation that there is a connection, but they occurred close to each other in time, so it's not unlikely that it could be the case, said police spokesperson Mats Eriksson earlier.
