The 65-year-old man who was found unconscious in a hole at a recycling station in Gothenburg on Tuesday has died, the police write on their website.
The man was taken to hospital in an ambulance with serious injuries, but his life could not be saved. Relatives have been informed and the accident is being investigated as a workplace accident and causing physical harm.
The police have not yet come into contact with any witnesses and urge anyone with information about the incident to get in touch.
