Joel Spira plays the therapist Nisse, who loses his job in Stockholm and is forced to take a new position – in Gagnef. Crushed by the fiasco in the capital, he heads to Dalarna and finds warmth and community – and not least the charming Rebecka at the ironmonger's.
So imagine his surprise when he suddenly has to receive her as a patient in his role as couples therapist.
Rebecka is played by Josefin Asplund, who was last seen in the film "Nova & Alice".
"Couples Therapy in Gagnet" is directed by Lisa James Larsson, who has been behind TV series such as "A Royal Affair" and the new version of "Ronja the Robber's Daughter".
The series premieres on SVT in 2025.
"My intention is to make a refreshing, funny, and emotionally engaging series that provides a much-needed comfort in the cold and dark Scandinavian winter", says Lisa James Larsson in a press release.
The script is written by Wilhelm Behrman, best known for the TV series "Caliphate".
