A 36-year-old man is sentenced to 14 years in prison for, among other things, aggravated weapons offenses and attempted murder after three apartments were shot at with multiple shots last summer, reports UNT.
A total of eight people lived in the apartments – one in Uppsala and two in Örebro – that the man shot at. He is also ordered to pay 1.6 million kronor in damages to the affected parties. No one was physically injured in the incidents.
The man denies the crime, but among the evidence are, among other things, DNA traces and images from surveillance cameras.
He is suspected of having acted on behalf of other individuals who could not be identified.
Two younger men are simultaneously sentenced for handling the weapon used in the shootings, both to four years in prison for aggravated weapons offenses.
One of them, who is not a Swedish citizen, will be deported after serving his sentence.
