For 22 years, he has belonged to the club. But now Scott McTominay is leaving Manchester United. The Scottish national team player is clear for Italian Napoli.
"Thanks for all the fantastic memories", writes United on their website.
The 27-year-old McTominay joined United's youth activities in 2002 and has been loyal to the club since then. In 2017, he made his debut in the A-team, where he has won both the FA Cup and the League Cup. But now, new challenges await in southern Italy.
Later in the evening, United announced that they had made a deal with a replacement: Manuel Ugarte, who joins from Paris Saint-Germain. The Uruguayan has signed a contract that applies until June 2029.
