The international airport in Sanaa is completely destroyed and several other buildings in Yemen's capital have suffered major damage, including a cement factory and several power plants.
This is reported by both Israel's military and sources in Sanaa after Israel's and the US's joint attack.
US President Donald Trump says that the Iran-backed Huthi militia has agreed to no longer attack shipping traffic in the Red Sea following the attack.
The Huthis have announced that they do not want to fight. They simply do not want to. We will therefore stop our bombings, they have surrendered, he says at the White House.
"Ensuring shipping traffic"
Oman reports that the parties have agreed on a ceasefire, where the Huthi movement has agreed not to attack ships in the Red Sea. The US, in turn, will not attack Huthi targets, according to Oman's mediation.
"This ensures the possibility of shipping traffic in the Red Sea and a smooth flow of commercial shipping traffic", says Oman's Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi in a statement.
Tuesday's attacks on targets in Yemen came shortly after Israel's military ordered an immediate evacuation of the airport, which hinted at an imminent Israeli air strike.
The Times of Israel reports that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu left the ongoing trial against him shortly before the attack, after receiving a sealed envelope and then asking the judges to interrupt the hearing prematurely.
Attack on Israeli airport
Israel also attacked the Iran-backed Huthi movement in Yemen on Monday. Those attacks were a response to the Huthis' drone attack on Israel's Ben Gurion airport near Tel Aviv on Sunday.
The Huthi movement has, during the war in Gaza, attacked shipping traffic in the Red Sea in solidarity with the terrorist-listed Hamas and sent several drones towards Israel. Most of them, however, did not reach their targets.
