On what was the man's last working day at the Migration Agency in 2021, he granted no less than 66 work permits or residence permits. He did it without having the right to do so, since he had been informed by his manager at the Migration Agency during the summer of 2021 that he no longer had the authority to make decisions in cases concerning work permits and residence permits.

I have heard testimony from his coworkers who unanimously stated that you don't make that many decisions in one day, says prosecutor Joakim Zander to GP.

The man has denied the crime and no motive has emerged.

After quitting his job to become a police officer, he was reported to the police by the Migration Agency. As a consequence of the charges, the man had to quit his employment as a police officer.
