Representatives of the ÖVP, the Social Democratic SPÖ, and the liberal Neos have, according to the news agency APA, agreed on a government program to be presented at 11 am.
The three parties made a first attempt to agree already last autumn, but failed to gather around a coalition. Instead, the ÖVP negotiated with the far-right party FPÖ – which also did not succeed.
According to APA, the new three-party agreement includes, among other things, tightening of asylum legislation and relief for the country's tenants.
"While others refuse this cooperation and shirk their responsibility, we establish unity and ability to act", it says in the government program, according to APA.
