Hockey star Johnny Gaudreau and his younger brother Matt were buried on Monday in Media, Pennsylvania. In an emotional speech, Johnny's widow Meredith revealed that she is expecting the couple's third child.
In less than three years of marriage, we have created a family of five. It doesn't even seem possible, but I see it as the ultimate blessing. How lucky am I to be the mother of John's three children, where our latest is a blessing and so special despite these difficult circumstances, she says according to Aftonbladet.
Hundreds of mourners were present to say their final goodbye to the brothers. They died after being hit by a car while cycling in New Jersey at the end of August, an event that shook the hockey world.
Johnny Gaudreau – called "Johnny Hockey" – played a total of ten seasons in the NHL, eight in Calgary Flames before moving to Columbus Blue Jackets.
The Gaudreau brothers were 31 and 29 years old, respectively.
