Melina Andersson led from start to finish and never gave the competitors a chance in the warm weather that characterized the race.
"I'm so incredibly pleased to win! It was a hugely sweaty race, over 30 degrees in the air and humid so very warm. I started with clothes that had been in an ice bath before the race to keep the temperature down. The water is also over 30 degrees", says Melina Andersson in a press release.
