Bill Gates is to write a memoir about his early years, according to The Guardian.
The book "My beginnings", due to be published next year, is intended to cover his upbringing in Seattle and the years until he dropped out of Harvard University at the age of 20 in 1975. Shortly after that, he co-founded what would later become Microsoft with Paul Allen.
"Over the years, I have often been asked about my upbringing, my time at Harvard and being part of founding the company. It made me realize that people might be interested in my journey and the factors that influenced it," writes Gates on his blog.
Penguin Press has described the book as "a warm, wise and revealing portrait of one of the most influential people of our time".
