Norwegian Aftenposten revealed this week that the Norwegian state oil fund bought shares in the Israeli combat aircraft company Bet Shemesh Engines, while Israel bombed Gaza.

Hip-hop trio Kneecap played on Thursday at Way Out West in Gothenburg and called the Swedish government "accomplice" to the situation in Gaza. On Friday, it was Norway's turn, when Kneecap visited the Øyafestivalen in Oslo:

– As long as we stand on stage and nothing changes, Kneecap will always use this platform to point out the genocide and war crimes. I don't need to preach to you when your oil fund is used to finance the genocide, said Kneecap's Mo Chara.

The headlines surrounding Kneecap's political commitment have been many this spring. This includes after the group during a performance at the American Coachella projected the message "Fuck Israel, free Palestine" and called Israel's actions "a genocide". Mo Chara, who is actually named Liam O'Hanna, has despite his denial been prosecuted for terrorist crimes in the UK after waving a Hizbollah flag during a concert.
