Romania pressed the reigning Olympic Games and World Champion France in the European Championship in handball on Thursday.
Friday's match against Montenegro was a breeze for the European Championship favorite, winning 31–23.
The result of the match has no real significance for Sweden's chances of advancing to the semifinal.
For despite the Swedish loss to Romania (23–25) earlier on Friday, it is Sunday's and Tuesday's matches that will determine Sweden's European Championship fate.
The conditions are simple. Sweden must win against France on Sunday and Montenegro on Tuesday. Additionally, Hungary must win both against Romania on Sunday and France on Tuesday. Then Sweden and Hungary will advance to the semifinal in Vienna in a week.
Hungary defeated Poland on Friday with 31–21.
