The electoral committee of the Swedish Ski Association has presented its proposal for a new board. As chairman, Jonas Bauer is proposed, replacing the association's former chairman Karin Mattsson, reports SVT.
The Ski Association has recently struggled with internal conflicts and economic problems. Both police reports and a complaint to the sports' own court, the National Sports Confederation, have shaken the association.
I hope to contribute with stability and clarity to unite different interests in a common effort to strengthen Swedish skiing, says Bauer to SVT.
Mattsson previously announced that she will not stand for re-election. This is because she wants to prioritize her new assignment as a board member of the International Ski Federation.
Bauer has previously been, among other things, CEO of Vasaloppet and business development manager at Skistar.
