A fire that broke out at a recycling station north of Vaggeryd, near Jönköping, shortly after midnight is now under control.
It started burning in a waste heap with diverse materials. We have put on sand to dampen the fire this morning. More than half of the heap is covered in sand and the smoke has decreased quite a lot, says fire engineer Henrik Dovrén.
The fire has not spread to adjacent buildings at the recycling station. At 9 am on Tuesday, there was still no prognosis for the extinguishing work.
According to P4 Jönköping, the rescue service has lifted the VMA that was previously issued.
