The American rapper and producer Lupe Fiasco will be a guest lecturer when the American university Johns Hopkins Peabody Conservatory launches a new four-year hip-hop program this fall, according to NME.
"I'm honored to contribute to this legacy by doing what I love the most, rap", he writes on social media.
The new hip-hop program will be the first to give students the opportunity to take a bachelor's degree in hip-hop. In addition to music courses, students will also learn more about hip-hop's cultural history and social origins, its development, and various techniques.
Lupe Fiasco has previously been a guest lecturer at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
