The artist Elton John celebrated his 35th "sobriety birthday" earlier in the week.
"Grateful for all the love on my sobriety birthday" he writes in a post on his Instagram account along with a picture of handmade birthday cards from his sons, Elijah and Zachary, along with a bouquet of flowers.
The post received thousands of comments from fans and friends.
Elton John has long been open about his previous addiction problems, including those portrayed in the movie "Rocketman" from 2019. He has also helped other artists such as Boy George and Eminem to sobriety, writes Billboard.
