A man in Halland is sentenced to five years in prison for rapes against a 14-year-old girl. The approximately 25-year-older man was a friend of the family and was occasionally hired as a babysitter for the girl's little brother. At the same time, he initiated a relationship with the teenage girl, reports Hallandsposten.
The prosecutor considered some of the assaults to be gross, but the man was convicted of child rape in four cases, as well as several cases of sexual assault against a child and sexual harassment of a child. The girl is awarded damages of 380,000 kronor.
