Something has detonated at a multi-family house in Hovsjö in Södertälje during the night towards Monday.
A number of residents called from Hovsjö, saying they had heard a powerful bang. It also appears that there are material damages to a door in a multi-family house. There are also damages to windows on dwellings opposite, the houses stand fairly close to each other, says the police's press spokesperson Carina Skagerlind.
The police have not found any injured person.
The incident is being investigated as gross general endangerment. The alarm came in at 03.19. The police have cordoned off around the house for a technical investigation and bomb technicians have examined the site. The police have also gone door-to-door in the area to gather witness statements.
The residents were initially asked to stay indoors, but during the morning, the police began helping those who needed to get to work and school out of the house.
No one is detained, according to the police at 06.00. The internal work to try to map out the motive and other things continues.
