The police were alerted to the residence shortly after midnight, and then reported that there were no personal injuries. The cordons at the scene were lifted around four in the morning, but an hour and a half later, the police received reports of further gunfire against the same villa.

There are bullet holes in the garage door and entrance door, and during the morning, shots were fired through the window, says Peter Adlersson, press spokesperson for the police in Region West.

The police are now investigating whether there may be a threat against the people living at the address, or if those affected are known to the police from before.

It's too early to say who lives there and what may be behind it, says Peter Adlersson.

During the night, the police also received an alarm about a loud bang in the area, and were able to determine that it was a firework or explosive device placed outside a door. There were no material damages or personal injuries, according to Adlersson.

Whether there is any connection to the shooting is currently unclear.

I can't answer that right now, the investigation will show. It's not a long distance between these two events, he says.

The police will work on creating a sense of security in the area during the day, and are seeking tips from the public.
