Novak Djokovic left the court in the semifinal against German Alexander Zverev after losing the first set 6–7 on Friday morning, Swedish time. The Serb broke off the match with a heavily taped left thigh, an injury he sustained in the quarterfinal earlier in the week.

He then received boos from parts of the audience at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne. On Saturday, Djokovic responded by posting an X-ray image showing his injured left thigh and writing a message addressed to all critics.

"I think I'll just post this for all the 'experts' on sports injuries out there", he writes on X.

Djokovic has won a total of 24 Grand Slam titles in his career and 10 of them have come in the Australian Open. In Sunday's final, Zverev will face Italian world number one Jannik Sinner.
