In May this year, Jomshof shared two images of X, previously on Twitter, which led to suspicions of incitement against a ethnic group. The Special Prosecutor's Office has investigated the suspicions following a report from Näthatsgranskaren, but dropped the preliminary investigation last week after a decision by Chief Prosecutor Joakim Zander.

Now, Näthatsgranskaren has appealed the decision to drop the preliminary investigation, reports SVT. The case has thus ended up with a special department at the Prosecutor's Office, which handles prosecutors' decisions.

The Development Centre is like a second judicial level within our authority, like the Court of Appeal. Here, there are senior prosecutors who can review and even change decisions made by another prosecutor, says Emelie Källfelt, senior prosecutor at the Development Centre, to SVT.

In connection with the preliminary investigation, Richard Jomshof took a break from his assignment as chairman of the Justice Committee. After last week's announcement from the prosecutor that the preliminary investigation was dropped, he returned to the post.
