Sean "Diddy" Combs wants to trade in his Brooklyn jail cell for house arrest in his Florida home and is willing to wear ankle shackles and be monitored by GPS trackers around the clock. He is also prepared to pay a bond of $50 million, 535 million kronor.
The hip-hop mogul has also promised to severely limit who visits him, and except for his closest family members and the mothers of his children, not to meet "any women" – if he is released on bail, according to Rolling Stone.
Combs has been in custody for two weeks since Judge Andrew L Carter refused to accept the bond, which is otherwise routine for most crimes in the USA. But Carter claims that Combs could intimidate witnesses if he were released. Now Combs is appealing the judge's decision to a higher instance.
Sean "Diddy" Combs was arrested on suspicion of, among other things, sexual assault and human trafficking. Prosecutors accuse him of leading a "sex crime empire" and forcing women to, among other things, have sex with male prostitutes in day-long "sex performances", called "freak offs".
Sean Combs denies the charges.
