Two classic teams in the form of Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees face each other in the American baseball league's final, World Series. It is clear after Los Angeles defeated the other New York team, Mets, with 10–5 and a total of 4–2 in matches.
Just Yankees and Dodgers have historically been two of the most successful clubs in American baseball. New York is chasing a 28th final victory but the first since 2009. Los Angeles, in turn, has won seven times and can win for the second time in the last five years.
The two have also met in several classic finals, first when Dodgers were based in Brooklyn, New York, before moving to Los Angeles in the 1950s.
