Candy giant Mars, with well-known brands such as Snickers, M&M and Milkyway in its portfolio, is buying up snack giant Kellanova in what is described as the year's largest deal.
Kellanova was formed last year, when the company Kelloggs was divided into two parts. Among other things, the snack-hungry Kellanova includes the chip brand Pringles.
The company is valued at 36 billion dollars in the deal, equivalent to 375 billion kronor.
Kellanova's share has risen more than 7 percent after the announcement.
