The Swedish Booktok profile Jasmine Darban, 22 years old, is starting a new publishing label – Fenix – together with the publishing house Bonniers Carlsen.
Fenix will publish Swedish translations of books for young people and adults that have already found their readers through the hashtag #booktok on Tiktok.
Jasmine Darban will, among other things, help with the selection of titles, but also talk about them on social media.
Her Tiktok videos with book reviews have a total of over 1.5 million likes, writes Bonnier Carlsen in a press release.
"Getting to be involved in deciding which books Fenix will publish for all those who love wonderful, emotionally powerful books is fantastically inspiring, and I'm so looking forward to telling about the books and showcasing the Fenix publications for everyone," says Darban herself.
