The German Bundesliga club Werder Bremen is following St Pauli and choosing to leave the X platform.
The reason is that the club believes that hate posts have increased since Elon Musk acquired the social media platform.
Werder Bremen has more than half a million followers on its German-language account on X, which was called Twitter when the club joined in 2008.
"Under the guise of the right to express oneself, hate posts, hatred towards minorities, right-wing extremist posts, and conspiracy theories have been allowed to flourish on X at an incredible rate," the club writes in a statement in English.
The four-time champion club is thus following Bundesliga colleague St Pauli, which decided to stop posting on X last week for the same reason as Bremen.
