I've always been one who takes responsibility by standing up in difficult situations. But now, for the first time, I think, it's enough. Now I'm taking responsibility and leaving, she says to the newspaper.

Korsen's service as chairman has been voluntary and unpaid.

When asked how she reacted when she saw the film that exposed the cheating, it was with surprise and shock.

Everyone who has been involved in high-level ski jumping has understood that you have to be close to the limit to be able to keep up. But what has happened here is something entirely different. It would never have been approved if you had asked for permission beforehand, says Korsen.

I, and several others with me, have put in an enormous amount of time on this. Thousands of hours have been sacrificed and the beautiful sport of ski jumping lies in ruins.

The manipulation of the suits has led to the Norwegian Ski Association banning coaches Magnus Brevig and Adrian Livelten. At the same time, ski jumpers Marius Lindvik and Johann André Forfang have been banned from competing by the International Ski Federation (Fis).
