A large amount of information stolen in the cyberattack against Kumla municipality has been published on the Darknet, local media reports.
"We take this very seriously and we know that it likely concerns our data. I understand that it can create anxiety among both employees and citizens in Kumla, and this is of course very unfortunate", says municipal director Gabriella Mueller Prabin in a comment on the municipality's website.
She further states that the municipality is working "to get a comprehensive picture of the situation".
The cyberattack was discovered at the beginning of November and led to all IT systems being shut down last week. The systems have since begun to reopen.
Last week, the municipality also paid out money to prevent stolen information from being leaked.
