It would have been the largest foreign deal in Japanese history. But now the owner of the 7-eleven stores, Japanese Seven & Holding, says no to the Canadian Couche-Tard's giant bid of approximately 300 billion kronor.
The bid is far too low, according to Seven & Holding.
Couche-Tard is the owner of, among other things, the Circle K chain.
