A woman in her 80s is banned from the library in Vetlanda after 1,200 stolen books belonging to the library were found at her home, reports P4 Jönköping. Only two of these were books that the woman had borrowed.

The Eksjö district court has now decided that the woman is prohibited from entering the library, as there is a risk that she will continue to commit theft.

Although she has not been convicted of the thefts, it is clear to the court that the books did not come into her possession legally. She is therefore no longer allowed to visit Vetlanda library or any of its branches.
