We have assisted wildlife managers who put down the moose here this morning, says the police's press spokesperson Anna Westberg.

Although it is a densely populated area, wildlife managers are said to have been able to shoot the moose in a way that is safe for the public. According to the police, it is said to have been a yearling calf.

The moose was seen in the area around Sankt Eriksplan before it was put down.

I was out with the dog and suddenly a moose was standing on the street, says Johan Eriksson to Aftonbladet.
