On Monday morning, five more reports of vandalism have been received. In total, it is about a dozen alarms regarding gas stations in Alingsås, Vårgårda and Borås that have had their fuel hoses cut.

In Borås, it led to a seven-year-old being hit by a jet of gasoline in the face and being taken to hospital.

I have no information about the extent of the injuries, but the child was taken to hospital together with their guardian. It is possible that the guardian also got gasoline on themselves, says Christian Brattgård.

The common denominator for the affected stations is that they are automated stations. The crimes are being investigated as vandalism and causing bodily harm.

The police are looking for the saboteur and are appealing for tips from the public.
