A man has been shot in the leg on Hisingen in Gothenburg, according to the police.
The police were alerted about suspected shooting at 17.30 on Monday afternoon and when they arrived at the scene, they found a man who was conscious, but with "presumed gunshot wound in the leg).
He has been taken to hospital by ambulance, says the police's press spokesperson Jennifer Last.
The police are looking for a perpetrator and have set up cordons in the area.
We have an ongoing search effort with a larger resource. At the same time, we are talking to people in the area who may have heard or seen something of interest.
A crime report has not yet been filed.
But we currently assume that it is a case of attempted murder and serious weapons crime.
