The pollution in the Seine River in central Paris was a serial story during the Olympic Games. Now the history is being repeated even during the Paralympics. Sunday's triathlon has been postponed due to poor water quality.

The eleven triathletes have had to be postponed at least one day since it is risky for the athletes to swim in the Seine due to the pollution.

It has rained a lot in Paris in recent days, which has led to sewage water flowing into the Seine and bringing high levels of bacteria, including E. coli.

No Swedes are competing in triathlon at the Olympic Games.

The cleaning of the Seine in time for the Olympic Games to be able to arrange swimming in the famous river in central Paris was a prestigious multi-billion project for the Olympic and Paralympic organizers.

But the Olympic swimming events had to be postponed several times and afterwards, several athletes became ill, although it is unclear whether it can be linked to the water quality in the river.
