Martin Engberg's "Allätaren" is also nominated, as well as Bengt Ohlsson with "Helga". The jury's discussions about the nominated books will be broadcast on P1 Culture April 7-10.
"These four novels will make it crackle in the studio. I'm guessing on wild discussions about everything from love and infidelity and what you're actually allowed to do with Hjalmar Söderberg, to colonialism, vegetarianism and science", says Lina Kalmteg, the cultural editor who will lead the conversations with the jury.
Swedish Radio's Novel Prize was established in 1993 and is awarded every year to "an outstanding Swedish novel from the past year's production". The prize amount is 30,000 kronor. Last year, the prize went to Annika Norlin for "Stacken".
