51,000 kronor. That was the kilo price for the first lobster of the year, according to local media.

The lobster fishing started at 7 am on Monday and a day later, the first lobster box was sold at the Gothenburg fish auction.

The premiere price has varied greatly over the years. Last year, it stopped at 44,000 kronor per kilo.

Who gets the honor of selling the first lobster is decided by lottery, but a larger part of the money goes to the Sea Rescue.
