A 60-year-old woman in Sundsvall has received a claim from the Social Insurance Agency to pay back over 800,000 kronor, reports P4 Västernorrland.

According to the Social Insurance Agency, sickness benefit and sickness compensation were incorrectly paid out to the woman during various periods between 2016 and the end of 2024 for both full-time sickness absence and reduced work capacity on a part-time basis.

During an investigation of the case, the authority has now found information indicating that the woman has had full work capacity since 2016.

From the time the Social Insurance Agency decided on repayment, the woman has one month to pay back, after which an interest rate of eleven percent will be added.
