Andersson emphasizes that the Social Democrats will not be able to take a stand on state aid for new nuclear power until a better analysis has been made of how much nuclear power is needed in a future energy mix.
There has been no thorough analysis of how to achieve a good mix of energy sources, says the Social Democratic leader to Ekot.
She believes that the analysis presented by the government earlier is too one-sided, the government should have calculated the need for different types of energy sources before recommending a large-scale expansion of nuclear power.
She says that the Social Democrats are working on their own analysis.
But it would be much easier and better if one could have the officials in the government offices at one's disposal, says the Social Democratic leader.
The energy companies want clear answers from the Social Democrats on how the party views state aid for nuclear power, as otherwise, without broad political agreements, it becomes risky to invest heavily in a power source like nuclear power.
If public funds are to be used, there should be technological neutrality in this, we think the government has started from the wrong end, says Andersson.
