The Royal Court and State gets an increased allocation of 27 million kronor in next year's budget, according to sources for Sveriges Radio's Ekot.
This is mainly due to the need to strengthen security for the royal family and the royal palaces, according to the channel.
This year's budget of 163 million kronor will increase to 190 million kronor in 2025. Additionally, the Tidö parties propose an extra six million kronor for the current year in the autumn budget.
However, the court does not get as much money as they requested, one of the reasons being that entrance and sales revenues from the royal palaces increased last year.
Besides increased security, the demand for more money is also due to increased demand for royal participation from, for example, the Riksdag.
