The Left Party's party secretary Aron Etzler is leaving. However, he will remain in his position for another six months, according to SVT.

Aron Etzler will step down in February 2025, after having held the position for 12 years.

It feels very nice to quit when you're at the top. The Left Party has just had its best election in 20 years, he says to SVT.

Aron Etzler became party secretary in 2012, when Jonas Sjöstedt took over as party leader, and when Nooshi Dadgostar took over the position, Etzler continued in his job.

He explains that he will remain in his position for another seven months to ensure a smooth transition to a new party secretary.
