No more (sales) will take place during this term of office, she says at a press conference.

The Minister of Finance emphasizes that the government has so far sold two companies, Bilprovningen and Lernia.

There was also a majority for it in the Riksdag, says Svantesson.

That being said, I foresee that after 2026, there will be more sales of state-owned companies. But it's not as if some kind of ketchup effect will occur now.

She does not answer which companies may become relevant to sell in the future. During the election campaign, the government parties talked, among other things, about SBAB, Svenska Spel, and the remaining ownership in Telia.

It's important to consider why the state owns this. Is it a national interest, is it a market-based interest? First and foremost, one should make assessments and it should happen at the right time.

Svantesson also presents a new ownership policy for the state-owned companies. It should be clear what the state expects, she says.

We state it very clearly – you should make money.

The government also points out that the companies should have good governance, ensure sustainable value creation, act transparently, pay reasonable compensation, and contribute to the country's preparedness.

The state-owned companies have a total value of over 800 billion kronor and provide a dividend to the state treasury of approximately 20 billion kronor per year.
