We have a lack of confidence in Muharrem Demirok due to the uncertainties, the distrust and the criticism that have arisen lately. We see it as a sign of weak leadership, said von Seth to TT in November.

But the internal uprising backfired, and according to Expressen, it backfired against von Seth. An extraordinary meeting in the youth association was announced for March 15. There, von Seth will not stand for re-election.

"I, and many with me, are convinced that the Center Party is on the wrong track. Both in terms of its role in Swedish politics and internally in the party. To think so is one thing. To dare to stand for it is another. During the years I have had insight into the Center Party's leadership, in the form of the party board and the parliamentary group, the shortcomings have become increasingly clear. This is something I have repeatedly brought up internally", says Caroline von Seth according to a press release.

Caroline von Seth was elected Cuf chairperson in 2023.
